Dear Reader,
It has been a meaningful few months for us as we settle into this new season of leading the congregation here in Stockwell. Coming into a new church means learning again: learning the people, the culture, the stories, the rhythms, and what it means to faithfully serve a congregation in a different context.
A big part of these months has simply been being with people. We’ve spent time meeting different families and individuals from church, listening to their stories, sharing meals, praying together, and getting to know the community God has entrusted to us. These relationships are helping us understand Stockwell not just as a place where we gather on Sundays, but as a community we are called to love and serve.
As we continue to learn and listen, a vision is beginning to take deeper shape in our hearts for the church here. We want Stockwell to be a faithful and loving church in its neighbourhood, a place where people are welcomed, where families can flourish, and where individuals can discover the life and hope found in Jesus.
And we believe that what God does in Stockwell can be part of something much bigger. We want to see this local church become a blessing to its community and contribute to the renewal of London through the gospel. We are learning to think not only about the congregation we are leading today, but about the kind of church and people we are helping build for the years ahead.
We are continually grateful!
Thank you for continuing to pray, give, encourage, and walk with us through this season. Your partnership gives us the freedom to be present, to build relationships patiently, and to keep following where God is leading us. We are grateful to have you with us as we learn to lead, learn to love, and believe with faith for what God can do in Stockwell and across London.
Much love,
Dfamily
